FY 2008 Training ScheduleThis is a general overview of our FY2008 training schedule. In addition, we have added more detailed descriptions at the point of registration for sessions offered under each Provider Type and the All Providers category. You may access these descriptions and register by clicking on the provider type of your choice on the left side of this page. Registration Changes for FY2008All training sessions for FY2008 will be posted by October 1, 2007, for your scheduling convenience. However, registration will not open until six weeks prior to each session and will close two full business days prior to the session. This is necessary to make the needed conference arrangements and distribute information in a timely manner. We encourage providers to register for sessions online. Providers can choose a training session, click on it and complete the registration form for the session of their choice. We also have several sessions scheduled that are for All Providers types and clinicians. The registration process is the same for all training sessions. Training MaterialThe training material for teleconference, or brown bag sessions will be posted on the NGS website two days prior to each session. Providers who have registered will receive an email, 2 business days prior to the session, instructing them how to download the training material which will be used during the sessions. If you do not receive the information within two business days of the teleconference, contact the Customer Care Department. Face-to-Face Training SessionsThis year we will offer two major Face-to-Face Training sessions. Each will begin with a general session which will be followed by break out sessions according to provider type. These sessions will contain more specific information than previously available by teleconference. There will be a registration fee that will include all handout materials and lunch will be provided. See registration page for more details. Training via Web castWhat is a Teleconference? A teleconference is a live, interactive workshop that is conducted over the telephone. Like a conference call, it can be referred to as a Teleclass; therefore the same rules that apply in a classroom setting or workshop should be observed. The web cast training sessions will last approximately 2 hours, will be conducted via AT&T webcast and teleconference. The Web cast will include the following topics:
Please note that our goal at NGS is to provide training to the provider community on various topics, as a way to assist them in submitting claims correctly. As a fiscal intermediary, utilizing the AT&T webcast and telephone audio capabilities has proven to be one of the most effective tools to educate our customers. By conducting the teleconferences, providers for example rural providers who cannot attend regularly scheduled training sessions, will have the options to attend the training sessions quarterly, saving them travel time and cost. If you have not received the information within two-three days of the teleconference,
contact the Customer Care Department. The times of the telephone/teleconference sessions will vary, depending on the time zones involved. The start time will be included in the email sent to providers who register. Brown Bag Sessions for All Provider TypesThe Brown Bag sessions will last 30 to 45 minutes and help reduce the error rate for billing and improve the CERT error rate. During the sessions we (will discuss how provider can access DDE for their specific provider error rate data. A step-by-step error resolution process for over 30 Reason Codes is available on the UGS website 7 days a week 24 hours a day under Reason Code Resolution Tips. The times of the telephone/teleconference sessions will vary, depending on the time zones involved. The times will be included in the email sent to providers who register. |
