Beneficiary Contact Center (BCC)
During the past year the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, have made
many advances towards implementing Medicare Contracting Reform, one of CMS’
initiatives
- designed to improve service to beneficiaries and providers,
- support the delivery of coordinated and quality care, and
- provide greater administrative efficiency and effectiveness for Fee-for-Service
contractors (FFS).
CMS has awarded the contract to the Beneficiary Contact Center BCC.
Beneficiary Contact Center (BCC)
The BCC is assuming the duties traditionally held by National Government Services,
Inc. In the BCC environment, beneficiaries have a single Medicare point-of contact
at
- 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227, TTY/TDD 1-877-486-2048). It connects to
a seamless network of customer service entities that can answer Medicare and
related questions and resolve problems.
